We transform the teaching of writing across your school by developing confident teachers, consistent practice and lasting improvement.
Talk for Writing is a proven, phased approach that moves pupils from oral retelling to independent transcription. One of our core principles is that every child can succeed as a writer.
Children learn a text through story maps, oral rehearsal and repetition, building vocabulary and understanding before writing. They imaginatively respond to the text and deepen understanding through reading.
Through shared and guided writing, pupils plan, creatively draft and edit their stories, poems and non-fiction texts.
Children plan and write their own pieces, applying what they have learned with increasing independence.
If your school is working hard, but you're not seeing the impact in outcomes, let’s talk.

“Our children have achieved beyond what is expected in terms of data and progress and are increasingly able to transfer their knowledge to other areas of the curriculum. 'I don’t know what to write' has become a phrase from the past.”
